This article explains how to edit information for the entire invoice such as the Date, the Case or the Payer. For more details regarding editing information for a specific item, see Editing an Item in an Existing Invoice.

Be aware that changes made to the Date, the Case or the Payer will be reflected when printing or emailing the invoice. It will also affect Reports so edit with care.

Changing the Invoice Date

Open the Invoice that requires editing. For assistance in locating an invoice, see Finding an Existing Invoice.

Click on the Date at the top left of the invoice.

Select the Date that will show on the Invoice.

Click Save.

 

Changing the Invoice Case and Payer

Only an existing Case in the Client file can be selected at this stage. For assistance with creating a new Case, see Creating a Case.

Open the Invoice that requires editing. For assistance in locating an invoice, see Finding an Existing Invoice.

Click on the Case.

Select an existing Case for this client from the drop-down list.

Click Next.

Select an existing Payer for this Client from the drop-down list.

Click Save.

Changing the Invoice Payer Only

Only a Payer that already exists in the Client file can be selected at this stage.

Open the Invoice that requires editing. For assistance in locating an invoice, see Finding an Existing Invoice.

Click on the Payer.

Select an existing Payer for this client from the drop-down list.

Click Save.
