Facebook Pixel is a tool that allows you to view the actions people take on your website. Paired with Nookal, it gives you the ability to track how your customers interact with Online Bookings.

Please note, this guide assumes you already have a working Facebook Pixel set up on your website and know how to use it.

The following instructions are for the Legacy Online Bookings system.

Adding a Facebook Pixel ID to Online Bookings


Open Facebook Pixel and copy your Pixel ID.


In another window, open Nookal and head to Setup > Extensions > Online Bookings – Legacy.


Click on a Location.


Paste the Facebook Pixel ID into the Facebook Pixel field.


Click Save Changes.


Repeat steps 3-5 for all Locations in Nookal.

Setting up Events for Facebook Pixel


In Nookal, head back to the main Online Bookings page via Setup > Extensions > Online Bookings – Legacy.


Select the Starting Point highlighted below.

This guide assumes you are using the same Facebook Pixel ID for all locations in Nookal. If you are using separate IDs for separate locations, you will need to follow these steps for each ID, and select the applicable location from the Starting Point drop-down.


Set the Type as URL.


Click Generate and copy the URL.


Navigate back to Facebook Pixel and click Add Events. Select From The Pixel from the drop-down menu.


Click Open Event Setup Tool.


Paste the Online Bookings URL into the Website URL field.


Click Open Website.


You should now have been navigated to the Online Bookings page with your Facebook Pixel in the top-left corner of the page.


Step through the entire Online Bookings process as if you were a client, but STOP at the final page before pressing the Finish button.

On the final page of the Online Bookings process, you can set up an Event that allows you to track a completed booking, as explained below.


When you get to the Finish page click Track New Button in the Event Setup Tool.


Now click on the Finish button.


Select the Schedule Event Type from the Event Setup Tool and click Confirm.


Click Finish Setup.


Click Finish.


Setup is now complete! Events should now start appearing in your Facebook Pixel:

  • PageView events occur every time someone visits/changes a page.
  • Schedule events occur every time someone completes a booking.

Events may take up to 24 hours to appear in your Facebook Events overview.


Optionally – you can repeat Steps 11-20 to add other Event types to different steps in your Online Bookings process.
