Setting the Client’s Gender in the Client Profile
Using Gender as a Letter Placeholder

Gender Titles must first be created in the Setup > Practice > Titles section. Learn how to do this here.

After Gender Titles have been created, they can be added to a Client’s Profile to help assist in correctly recording a Client’s Gender. After the Gender has been added to the Client Profile, it can then be used as a placeholder in Letters.

Setting the Client’s Gender in the Client Profile

1

If the Client does not exist in Nookal Add a Client Profile.

2

If the Client already exists in Nookal Find the Client’s Profile.

3

In the Client > Profile locate the Gender field.

4

Select the Client’s Gender from the list of available options.

5

Click Save Changes.

6

The Client’s Gender should now appear as selected in their Profile.

Using Gender as a Letter Placeholder

After the Gender has been added to the Client Profile, this field can be used as a placeholder in Letters to pull in a Client’s Gender automatically.

If you haven’t yet set up Letter Templates in Nookal, learn how to do this here.

1

Open an existing Letter or Letter Template and click into body of the letter.

2

You will find the Gender placeholder via Client > Profile > Gender.
