Transient Errors
Delivery Failure

If sending SMS messages within Nookal, you might receive different notifications if an SMS has not or might not have reached the recipient. See below what each notification means.

If you receive an SMS Delivery Alert Notification, it means the message was sent from our server. The appointment will be showing as “Reminder sent” and the Message will be displayed in the Client’s Messages history. This means there are no issues in the Nookal account, the Reminder Campaign and the SMS Credits are working fine.

In the Notifications area, there will be information that can help explain why a sent SMS was not received by a Client. Expand the Notification using the < symbol to see the details.

If any user clicks Dismiss (the Thumbs Down Icon) on the notification, it will be deleted for all, therefore it is important to have an internal process for dismissing notifications.

Transient Errors

If Nookal doesn’t receive a delivery confirmation, a notification will let you know. The Client might have received the SMS, but the delivery status is unconfirmed.

  • The message has been submitted to your clients’ mobile network, but we have not received a delivery confirmation, the user may not have their handset turned on.
  • The message has been submitted to the mobile network, but we have not received a delivery confirmation.

Delivery Failure

Our server has received a confirmation that the SMS was not delivered. It can be because the mobile number is wrong or disconnected or the mobile phone is closed or out of range.

  • The message has not been delivered as it appears the handset has been disconnected or the number is incorrect.
  • The message has not been delivered as it appears the handset has been blocked.

If there is a Delivery Failure error, it might be best to contact the Client via a different phone number or email to provide the information that was in the SMS.
