- Automatically generate and send invoices based on your schedule (daily, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly)
- Pre-load line items directly from appointments, perfect for NDIS clients and home visits
- Merge multiple appointments into single invoices when needed
- Send automatic payment reminders at 30, 60, or 90 days for overdue invoices
- Filter by location, practitioner, and payer for customized billing workflows

Simplified Nookal Billing Page
We’ve redesigned your account billing section to include:
- Unified credit system for SMS and claiming (Medicare, DVA)
- Single interface for all subscription and usage invoices
- Cleaner, more intuitive layout to reduce administrative headaches

Patient Portal: Empower Your Clients
The most requested feature is almost here! The new patient portal will allow your clients to:
- View and manage their bookings (confirm, reschedule, or cancel within your policies)
- Access unpaid invoices and make payments with stored credit cards
- Chat directly with their therapist or clinic team
- Purchase class passes without admin involvement
- View and download invoices themselves
- Update their personal details
The portal integrates seamlessly with your existing online booking platform and significantly reduces the admin burden on your team. For clinics using Stripe, clients can securely store credit cards for easy payment processing.
Beyond Q1: What’s on the Horizon
Secure Messaging with HealthLink
Currently in active development, this will enable compliant communication with other healthcare providers.
Direct Debit Module
Building on the credit card storage capability, you’ll soon be able to:
- Set up recurring payments for programs and subscriptions
- Automatically bill clients based on their payment schedules
- Consolidate multiple payment systems into Nookal
Enhanced Classes Management
A two-phase upgrade will include:
- Better class booking functionality
- Integration with direct debit for automatic payments

Wireframes are complete for this highly requested feature, which will allow you to:
- Assign specific rooms to appointments

My Health Record Integration
Following our SOC 2 compliance certification, we’re now able to pursue integration with My Health Record and other government programs.
